PRACTICE: Recognize our shared identity

Recognizing our shared humanity

When we recognize our shared humanity, we can cultivate a wonderful sense of belonging. We can find a way to stop comparing ourselves and our lives to others and see that everyone experiences various ups and downs. In this practice from the GCC's Kristine Claghorn you'll be guided into that feeling of connection with others and the compassion that arises as a result.

In the spotlight

We owe a huge debt to every organization and individual who has already been working to understand and spread compassion. But we need to make a very special and unique acknowledgement to The Compassionate Mind Foundation. With their Founder Prof Paul Gilbert they have done so much to further our knowledge of compassion and how it can be applied in therapy and beyond.
